Compatibility depends on the substrate, site conditions, product construction, and approved installation requirements.
Approved Substrates
The VacuuBond Cohesion System™ is designed for compatibility with several common facility substrates, pending site evaluation.
Concrete
Properly cured and leveled concrete is a standard approved substrate. Moisture testing and surface preparation are required prior to installation.
Existing Hardwood
In certain eligible projects, installation over existing hardwood may be approved, potentially reducing demolition time and costs. Strict qualification rules apply.
Documentation Pending: Detailed technical data sheets and complete substrate qualification matrices are currently undergoing final engineering review and will be published in a future update.
Site Assessment
Every successful installation begins with a comprehensive site evaluation to ensure the environment meets all requirements.
1. Moisture Testing
Evaluating the concrete slab or environment for acceptable moisture vapor emission rates (MVER) and relative humidity (RH).
2. Surface Preparation
Ensuring the substrate is flat, smooth, clean, and structurally sound before adhesive application.
3. Acclimation
Allowing the flooring material and adhesives to adjust to the facility's HVAC-controlled environment prior to installation.
